Micah Preite

Micah Preite is a Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter, jazz guitarist, and producer.

Preite is inspired by Daniel Rossen, Billy Strayhorn, Thelonious Monk, Elliott Smith, and 20th-century classical music. He blends cinematic arrangements with intimate, electronically processed acoustic layers, and offers lyrical wisdom with meditations on love, friendship, and life. In September 2022, he self-released his debut album, The signals licking me, producing and performing every instrument.

A prolific and sought-after collaborator, Preite produced Kate Davis's 2024 Anti- Records singles, played guitar on Mustafa’s 2024 Dunya (Live) video featuring Daniel Caesar, co-produced and co-wrote several songs on Ralph Castelli’s 2025 album Hope, Alaska, and contributed guitar to quinnie’s 2025 release paper doll. In 2025, he released several singles. He has supported the likes of Lowertown, quinnie, Billie Marten, and zzzahara.
